The shelf life expiration date (SLED) check must be activated for the plant by Tcode - OMJ5

You can set the self life details in the PO item details delivery tab page.
SLED is calculated from the date of manufacture.

mm01-create material with SLED details - Material type food, select general plant data store 1 as additional - Create as normal, give remaining shelf life as ---- ( what you require)

Me21N - create po - create po for the same material - account assignment K and give cost center, choose delivery tab - remainging sehlf lie is picked up from the material master. save
MIGO- ENTER GR- ref to po above, give shelf life in material tab ( as you require) any thing less than what you specified shelf life will not be accepted by the system.Gvie more data and save.

For this QM module not required and can be done in mm itself.
