Hi G There is no separate tim eval period in SAP. As said before, a)run a daily job for time eval with pgm RPTIME00 with the to-date defaulted as current date. b)In TVARV you can define pay period start/end dates with a naming convention for pay roll areas. These date variables can be set up in a user pgm which runs every period or daily. c)The payroll jobs can be set up for each pay roll area. The time eval step can be the first step and the payroll 2nd step. Both steps can use the start/end date variables in TVARV. FI/CO posting sim can be step3. If the no.of empl is too much for one step, say more than 5000, then you can split the per period job as - one/more for time eval, two/more for payroll, one/more for FI/CO posting sim. The jobs can be set to run with a way to start the payroll jobs after time eval job is complete, similarly for FI/CO posting. There are s/w tools for job scheduling and monitoring. They can be set up with conditions as above. Hope this helps Regards, JG

Can you please help me to understand if these are the periods generated as payroll periods? If my payroll periods are different from the time evaluation period, how do I define them? Should I need to create a different period parameter? Thanks in advance, G | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
