[sap-hr] Schedule email of result from Query in Excel format

Hi
I am able to schedule a query and send result as email. However, the requirement is to have the result in Excel. I have only managed to get a htm attachment from SQ01/SM36. Is there a way to send the result as Excel without having to go via ABAP?
Any help appreciated.
