[sap-hr] FMLA Workbench absences using CATS

Has anyone set up FMLA Workbench to interact with CATS instead of Time Management?
When I assign absences to the workbench, CATS time entry is kicked off. I can edit the time entries just fine, but they do not appear on the list of eligible absences when I exit the timesheet on saving the entries.
When I set the workbenchup to link to Time Management, the time entries are created and saved, and I see them in the workbench upon returning to the workbench.
AM I missing something fundemental in my config?
