We use MTO strategy 81, which creates a tie between sales order and production order. On occasion, we need to cancel a sales order line, but we cannot at times because it is tied to a production order that is already in process (generates system message "cannot delete assembly order x". The only solution we've found is to back everything off the production order so that it has zero costs, and then we can delete it. That is not desired, however, because we do want to retain those costs for variance reporting. Is anyone aware of a way to break the tie between sales order and production order so that the sales order lines can be deleted or rejected?
