There are also some master data settings that can cause the req to "auto firm" during the mrp run without someone manually changing. 1. If a fixing type mrp is selected in the material master mrp1 tab (mrp procedure) M0-4 and P1-4 are fixed types of planning and will firm (*) planning depending on a variety of rules. (planning time fences etc). Once a req or plo is firmned so that it must be reviewed by a planner, the mrp run will never move or delete any requirement that is fixed.
Also in md04 it is possible to set fixing thru a date range. md04> edit>set manual firming date. If there is no fixing type in the material master, and there is no manual firming date in the md04, then it is most likely the planner making changes to the req. (quantity, date, source selection, ) You can clear the flag within the req from the change mode so mrp will replan. The req item details contact person tab will give you some limited infoon creation and changes. (if the req was manually created and by whom, or if it was mrp generated. If anyone changed and the date of the change, but I dont believe it will tell you specifically what the change is. )
