I have bought in February 2008 SSD disk but only this year I have implented. Before this year the firmware of disks wasn't stable in raid5/6 solutions.
Comparing the same batch-jobs from standard SAS solution and SSD solution, there job with SSD are from 5 to 50 times faster.
I have Oracle DataGuard and the primary db (SSD) waits the commit of redolog of the second db(Normal SAS).
With this configuration The Write Mode is a bit slower, but I have the best data security. __.____._
