From the SAP point of view, just remove the warehouse assignment (in Enterprise Structure) from the storage location and then "clean up" the open movement processes (production orders and deliveries to name a couple).
From a process and business view, I cannot answer without knowing your current processes and how you want to do things going forward

What would be the recommended process for a plant that would like to get rid of WM and be IM managed only? What all steps needed, if someone can provide check list what all need to take care as business point of view as well as SAP technical point of view __.____._
