Hi GBU,

Below notes will guide you in the right direction
Regarding reorganization in Oracle, please kindly check the following notes:
Note 541538 - FAQ: Reorganization
Note 646681 - Reorganizing tables with BRSPACE
Note 53062 - Database reorganization and data archiving

See also SAP Note 821687 - FAQ: Space utilization and fragmentation in Oracle for details.

One alternative to Reorganization. This is called "Segment Shrinking".
910389 - FAQ: Oracle Segment Shrinking
11515 - Shrinking/deleting rollback tablespaces
821687 - FAQ: Space utilization and fragmentation in Oracle
541538 - FAQ: Reorganization

Regarding the DB2 database :

1513862 - DB6: Table conversion using DB6CONV version 6 or higher

Ram

Subject: Reclaim Space & Reduce HWM With DB13

Dear Expert,

Currently I have done at db13 runstat, reorg and auto_reorg to open some free space although some tablespace are free. But backup_online from the server are still bigger
currently 50GB

I want to do reclaim / reduce high water mark from db13. Do you have some guide to do that? Because from what I see at db13 only action: REORG and RUSNTATS for multiple tables that only have reclaim space for clustered tables radio button. Is it how to user reclaim?

We don't want to offline database server because it's used for the production 24 hours. Please help for reduce HWM and reclaim space function at online.

Thank you,

GBU
