Reply from SBaker16 on Sep 26 at 11:29 AM Hello Sha_sul1 - Can we expand on this please? Start with PP, can you define? Let's say for sake of discussion one of our "plants" is China and the other is "Mexico" - each one needs to maintain the same "top level" part # - while "underneath" they have 2 different boms. By doing split valuation - does the process start at Purchasing where the Top level part# is entered and internally the Split valuation will know what the origin is? Second - when actual parts are received, do they go into inventory as the top level part#? If so, how will we know by looking at physical inventory what origin the product came from? Thanks for your help - looking forward to your reply. Scott

We successfully implemented split valuation where there were two manufacturing plants and each having different master data related to PP under one product (Material Master). I am sure its doable and Base material would be extended to each Plant with a specified Valuation Type to differentiate. Obviously each Plant would have different master data related to PP so the cost estimate related to CO. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
