Subject: Is SAP APO GxP Relevant?
The following modules of SAP APO are being used to enable business processes of Forecasting, NDR generation and Production Planning activities.
• Demand Planning
• Supply Network Planning
• Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling
SCM APO is a Planning engine to provide planning solution to end-to-end Global Supply Chain process. It starts with Sales forecasting process through Net demand Generation on respective manufacturing plants and then generation of production plan/proposals for Manufacturing facilities as per the Net Demand Requirement received, batch sized by Global Supply Planner. System is also used to execute MRP to generate procurement proposals for Global Material Sourcing. This system is also being used to generate Scheduling plan of plant resources for planned orders in the manufacturing to optimize the resource utilization and maximize the throughput.
APO system is always synchronized with SAP ECC system to read the transaction data like stocks, process orders, purchase orders etc. in real time. APO System reads the data from ECC Systems and generates Manufacturing and Procurement proposals as per the Market Demand and Inventories in the supply network.
Will this APO implementation be GxP relevant? |
