Subject: Sales Order and Scheduling Agreement Delivery Schedule Date VS Date to Ship to Meet Delivery Schedule Date to Customer

In sales orders and s/o scheduling agreements there are line item delivery dates and delivery schedules. In our case these dates are the date the customer would like the material to be delivered on their dock. Different customers have different transportation times and by that I mean the time it takes to get from us to them is from 2 to 5 days. We don't want to have to change the delivery line item dates or the scheduling agreement delivery schedules to reflect the date the material needs to leave our dock because of the effort required and because it would change the customers required dates which would affect auditing of on time deliveries, etc. Is there a way to build this transportation time into SAP somewhere that is customer specific so that SAP would know when to propose the delivery be created to get the materials to the customer on time?

Thanks,
Jeff
