Also , you will lose all your transports in DEV....they must be preserved.
There is an OSS note for this......please search.
I ALWAYS talk my client out of refreshing DEV with PRD....not a good idea.
PROD data in DEV system = bad idea
PROD data much larger in database size = bad idea
CTS/STMS issues = bad idea
Lots of other things = bad idea.
Of course lots of people do it...just my opinion

The problems I've personally seen while copying 2 servers were copy/write authorisations and what was copied from the server source (for your case PRD 444), I mean all the data, parameters (SPRO), programs (SE80, SE38, etc.), and roles (PFCG), in other words : be sure of what you are copying before you do.
