Hi Neal,

How do users connect to SAP for RFC calls? Via sapfunction, directly from
SAP GUI or using the JCO or ....?

Check in SM04 if the user is still logged in after your RFC call (if
external, should end the session) and in SM21 if you don't have any system
log or any network/ firewall security issues.

Is there any "too many failed loggin attemps" or too many sessions
simultaneously.

Just for fun. If RFC is called externally (let's say from Excel or VBA
code or JAVA in ???). Reboot the PC after the first successful attemp.
If subsequent attempts are successful, the trouble seems to come from the
PC itself ("Win 7").

Uninstall the SAP GUI and do a fresh install.

Stop the Virus Scanner.....those animals sometimes do more than they are
ask for.

Watch the event viewer on the PC to see if there is no policy or security
failures.

Be sure that the network card (or wireless) connection is ok.

Good luck...that's not an easy one !

Thanks Terry,

I'm checking into it (though slowly. I'm not authorized to it yet...)

Neal
