Be sure, by checking in AS03, the assets are not showing a retirement/canceled date - on the first tab probably.
If your config disallows negative assets, be sure the transfer does not attempt to create negative asset value in one of the assets involved.
Does the user have access to both the sending and receiving accounting parameter selections, e.g., profit center, cost center, etc.
Also study your dates. Check the Asset Value Date of the ABUMN transaction versus the Capitalized on dates of the two assets involved. No time travel allowed - cannot transfer to an asset with a subsequent Capitalized on date. And can not send from an asset not having the value on that particular AVD from ABUMN.

Error message: if prior-year acquis is selected
Retirement of old assets data not possible (No existing old assets data)
Message no. AA416
Error message: if curr.year acquis is selected
Partial retirement or transfer of current-yr acquis. not possible
Message no. AA379
Please help us resolve this issue.
