Please check the system log, database is open, SAP application can connect DB normal?

System is unusable... windows console says that under dispatcher (status: running, message server connection ok, dialog queue time 0:00 sec, J2EE: some processes running),. What will be first step you would take? Please Help!
I enter login name, password, but after that system is frozen...
