[sap-log-sd] Scc1 and se10

I understand the difference between the transactions scc1 and se10. Can someone tell me how to use each one? For example, what do I do in scc1 when I'm in there? Do I click on "Schedule as Background Job" or "Start Immediately?" There is an option to checkmark "including request subtasks" and "test run." Do I need to check these off? And I have the same question for se10 --> what do I do in there in order to release the transport from one client to the next? I would appreciate some specific instructions on what to do in each transaction.
