Tina,
If you only know the technical name, I would do this:

Run SE80
Click on Repository Information System
Choose ABAP Dictionary
Choose Domain
Enter the technical name in the field "Domain", and click on Execute.
From here you can display details for this field, do a "where-used", etc.

In your example however, I don't think VTRAN is a field, I think it is an operation.
