Will the person running the payment program in Japan be logged on in the Japanese language or English? Normally if you are using multiple languages, you load all your master data in each language. That way, when the payment program is executed while logged on in Japanese, the master data stored in Japanese will be used instead of English. You shouldn't have to do any other customization, etc. However, you should also translate any configuration text to each language so that the person signing on in the other language will see descriptions in their local language. Otherwise, they will not see the descriptions. You use transaction SE63 to translate values. You need to do this with any custom ABAP pgorams/transactions so the selection criteria is visible when logged on in each language.

Hi Guys,

We're working on the SAP roll-out project for Japan.

According to the SAP notes,
we need to update the following master using Katakana (Japanese character)
in order to create the Japan specific DME file (Zengin format) by SAP provided program [RFFOJP_T].

*Bank name / branch name in Bank master
*Account holder name in Vendor master

But those above fields need to be English
because other company codes might use Bank or Vendor in Japan.

Any alternate fields or solution for multiple language name for Bank master / Vendor master?

*I've confirmed that international version does not meet this reuqirement
it is just for address, not for Bank name/Branch name/Account holder name.
*Oracle seems to have this kind of alternate fields for this.

Regards,
Museshi
