I guess that if I need to monitor all SLOC's I will need to create an MRP area for each one of them under S4HANA.
With an MRP Area at a Regional level containing 12 or more unit SLOCS we would not be able to monitor each SLOC if say one drops below acceptable levels (old reorder point) but the overall area is above reorder point.

MRP: Assigning MRP areas: To have the "MRP Areas" work, you have to activate the MRP areas and then create them and then assign them to the material master MRP 1 view. If a MRP area is not assigned to the material, then it will work as per the plant level MRP area.
We are exploring ways of using MRP Areas in our organisation. We have a large number of SLOC's around the state some will be in MRP areas and some will be at plant level MRP.
My question is in regard to the sentence of the first paragraph. If a material is in all our SLOC's but some SLOC's are part of a MRP area and some under Plant MRP will this work? If I set Reorder values in the MRP1 view of Plant MRP level SLOCs will the MRP run pick up both scenarios? I have done some testing and I only receive a result if I populate the MRP4 view of the material with reorder point for Plant MRP SLOCs - SLOC planned separately.
I have noticed that with SAP S4 SLOC MRP will no longer be supported, only at the MRP Area level. |
