Question from UKBasis on Jul 27 at 12:38 PM Had an issue today where customer cloned there SAP system and tried to restart SAP using the MMC, the dispatcher (dw) processes would not start, in fact there was an issue with the trace file for the dispatcher as it didnt even get writtten to.
Outcome was tha the hostname used on the cloned system was > 12 characters long, so the kernel parameter rdisp/myname didnt like it and crapped out, no logs, nothing, had to run the disp+work atart command from the start profile raw on the command line before the error appeared.
Not a question, more a nice to know
