Hello Steve,

OK! Followed your instructions and it worked! Also in one of the right hand columns the letter "x" appears to indicate that the counter was replaced.

Thank you.

Subject: Replacing SAP Counter

My apologies as this question has been discussed, however I am not following the discussion(s).

The counter located at the engine stopped working at 2139.90 hours. The date it stopped working was on January 10 2017. The electricians installed a new counter and it has accrued 5.00 hours. The total from the old and the new is now 2144.90 hours.

If I were to enter a measuring document of 5,00 hours, SAP will give me an error message that the measuring document is less then previous data. So one way to eliminate this error message would be to keep the running total in a spreadsheet. So that it time I entered the new engine hours it would increase it from eg 2139.90 + 5.00= 2144.90.

How do I get SAP to mimic my spreadsheet. So that when I entered 5 , 10 or 20 hours it would add the value to the original hours 2139.90?

Thank you.

ym
