See SAP note-1082505 The profit center assigned to document row is copied to the Dist. Rule column in the journal entry only if the G/L Account in the respective row in the journal entry is defined in Chart of Account as Sales or Expenditure account.
If the G/L Account is defined as 'Other' the profit center assigned to it in the document will not be copied to the respective row in the journal entry.
in short, in chart of account make sure the GL account type is not set to OTHER.

if I do a journal entry to a cost center, it posts the amount under that cost center to the GL and it shows up on the P&L report. If I post an amount to a Cost Center using AR invoice and AP invoice, the amount to the cost center does not post to GL and does not show up on the P&L. We just started using SAP Business One in July. Did i miss something in the configuration of the Cost Centers? |
