You can populate this revision field manually on GR or if you want to do this properly, invoke engineering change management on the material master to handle the revisions. The PR/PO will take the latest revision when created and that value can transfer to the batch upon GR.

in my company we use the same SAP number for the material and just update the revision number on material descrption. This way we don't have visibility how many materials we have in stock wih different revisions unless we pull the PO number and check the description there. Any easier way to identify the materials with different revisions using the same SAP #?? We don't want to use new SAP # because of the standard drawings. Please advise. |
