Reply from JG-SAPHR on Nov 17 at 8:19 PM When a feature is generated or activated, it creates a subroutine or form. The subroutine is accessed from a program to obtain a decision.
For example, when you want to create a new IT 8 record, the employee data maintenance program SAPFP50M calls feature TARIF, to obtain default payscale type and payscale area for the employee, before the IT 8 screen is displayed in maintenance mode. Normally these fields are set to be user-modifiable.
When you modify a feature or call a z program from a feature, you need to ensure all the fields in the structure are filled before the feature is accessed. You may need to add code for this purpose using an ABAP Enhancement.
Further, all the fields used in the feature decision table need to be set active in the feature's structure. To do this, go to PE03 and maintain the feature. Then go to the structure. Check and ensure that the fields are highlighted and save the feature in a transport request. Move the transport request to all the necessary systems/clients.

We have a requirement to use feature TARIF with multiple pay scales area with geo location (based on PERNR and PA/PSA combination extract Job from infotype 1, than look HRP1005 and find PS group for a job, find location where employee located and populate Infotype 8 with pay scale area based on location and pay scale group from HRP1005) .
We created ZTARIF_FEATURE report and changed PME01 structure to include PERNR in decision tree. But PERNR decision did not work.
I was looking table T549B and PERNR is not there. Did any try to use Z program to default values in infotype 8 based on requirements which is not available.
Any suggestion is really appreciated.
