a) New counting rule - whether only working days are to be counted, etc.
b) New valuation rule
c) Counting class; if the absence is not paid, you can use the existing counting class used for a LWOP. Else a new one.

Dear all,
We have configured the Absence Types and quotas and Payroll is working as
per the configurations.
My client would like to capture the Maternity Leave details now in SAP.
We found there is an option to capture the Maternity details in IT0080.
But whether we need to create different leave types and rules for this
infotype or the existing absence groupings to be modified?
Please let us know whether we need to modify the existing set up or I can
configure the Maternity leaves as stand alone without affecting the
current payroll.
