If you want to distribute postings between cost centers, your senders and receivers should be cost centers (in CO or in NGL). Just remeber that business area and profit center are derived from cost center and not viceversa.
Your client should also know the following recomendation given by SAP:
"We recommend performing assessments and distributions at the cost center level in Overhead Cost Controlling (CO-OM), although it is also possible to perform them in New General Ledger Accounting. You should use the allocation in General Ledger Accounting for assessments and distributions for the characteristics Segment and Profit Center."

In case, still want to use FI distribution (FAGLGA35), you should use cost centers as senders and receiver, to have distributions at your three levels (Cost Center, Business Area and Profit Center).
SAP recomendation is to do it from CO. Rembemer that if you do it from CO, anyhow, you'll have corresponding FI postings (Real-Time integration active) in case changes in FI characteristics are made, such as Profit Center, Business Area, Funcional Area, etc.

Hi experts,
I would like to distribute some cost accounts using actual distribution.
I executed actual distribution by business area.
Business area in posted documents are fine, changed from sender to receiver.
But profit/cost center in the posted documents are incorrect; sender profit/cost center is set to all the line items.
We are going to define organization as below;
Business Area : Profit Center : Cost Center = 1 : 1 : 1.
So the profit/cost center in receiver line items must be same as receiver business area.
What should I do? Is there any function restriction for actual distribution?
