I guess profit center is a line item related field and therefore, it is
captured in the profit center field of the line item (during document
posting ) and perhaps it would make more sense if you could try to extend
it as a field - field assignment substitution at line item text level.

thank you, I have done configurations the same way, the entries are also
going fine, what i need to know is how do i transfer the line item from
cust to vendor as you mentioned below. Secondly client have a reqirement to
capture the profit center at the header level. I am trying it with an user
exit but however the same seems to be not working.
