Reply from rory.goodwin on Jun 25 at 1:51 PM This is a complex subject and many things can cause it to fail. We use a checklist for setting up materials for this SC process. Here is a summary of the required details, many of which could cause your problem. Some of this may not be relevant to your implementation, but I beleive it is all standard SAP:
MM: Purchasing view created, "Auto. PO" checked, "Source List" not checked, Procurement = F or X, Special Procurement = 30.
PP: a valid BOM exists, a Production Version is created
PIR: the vendor is valid, a subcontracting purchasing info record is created which uses the same production version.
Source List: in ME01, the "Generate Records" icon should create a record for the vendor, mark it fixed and relevant for MRP
QIR: Quality Info Record created
In MD04 run MRP, and a PR should be generated. In that PR should be a "Components" button which shows your components. If you don't have that, there will not be anything to deliver to your vendor. If you have components in your PR, then convert it to a PO and run ME2o to create a delivery of the components to the vendor.

I have created the subcontracting delivery for components on PO ( Subcontracting cat with L). But I am not able to include this delivery in shipment and system shows that no delivery is found. I have checked the delivery item category (LBN) and delivery type (LB) are relevant for transportation planning, meaning it's relevant for shipment planning.
Could you please provide your inputs if any to include the Subcontract delivery in shipment. |
