Retro shouldn't be an issue for this (check the retro settings for the it to be sure), best way would be a pa40 update for the effected employees with lsmw or update the pa0001 table in the background via an abap report.

We have many personnel areas and the client decided that an employee belonging to one personnel area should not be able to view particular infotypes (Ex: 0001, 0006 etc) of employees of other personnel areas. This might be achieved in many ways and one among them is configuring org key. What are the advantages of using org key for security. We never configured org key and currently we have 5000 employees. Are there any other better options. Please help me.
