Hi,
Sorry it is clear information provided by Patil.
If the load balancing is configured then on SAP GUI you should give message server system details. If you configure with system number of CI then all users will be logging in only in CI and your DI will be no use.
So in general in HA system it is recommended to configure load balancing and configure all user system properly with Message server details.
No matter whether your ASCS and CI is running in different physical or virtual systems.
