Thanks Waza, Yes, the cost center changed its function from Sales 1 to Sales 2, and sure will have impact on COGS report, but this is required by the business and they know the impact already. The problem for me is that I checked all the actual and budget data for the new analysis period, no data exist. I don't know why the system still say transaction data already exist. regards Sophie

See long text Message no. FH600 Diagnosis You want changes the functional area in the master data even though postings with this functional area have already been made. If you change the functional area, future postings are made using the new functional area. The change made to the functional area has no effect on postings that have already been made. System Response It is not possible to change the functional area if this message is an error message (default setting). Procedure for System Administration In the standard system, the message appears as an error message. If you have to change the functional area, you can change the message type of this message. To do so, call up Customizing for Controlling and choose General Controlling -> Change Message Control. The message class is FH, the message number is 600. If you want to change the functional area in documents that have already been posted, proceed as follows: If you use classic General Ledger Accounting, see SAP Note 115840 for more information. If you use new General Ledger Accounting, you have to manually repost any documents that have already been posted. Caution Changes to the functional area can lead to inconsistencies if documents are reversed. If, subsequent to the functional area being changed, documents posted prior to this change are then reversed, the reversal document may in some cases be posted under the new functional area. This message appears when a functional area is changed in different master data, such as cost centers, internal orders, or G/L accounts. If you change or switch off the message type for this message irrespective of the user name, this change then takes effect in all programs where the message is used. Furthermore, if you change the message type for this message to Warning or Information, this can unfortunately lead to the message not being sent at all (due to technical reasons). This is the case, for example, if you change the functional area in some master data in the project system. We therefore recommend the following: 1. Change the message type just for specific users. 2. Once the functional area has been changed, reset the message type to error (E). What I cannot understand is that I checked all the planning data and actual data in year 2012, there is not data at all, why the system say transaction data already exist in 2012? Could anybody share his experience to me? Many thanks in advance! best regards Sophie | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
