Hi everyone

SAP's suggestion makes sense that for external persons you don't need to store lot of data.
It should work by associating each external employee with a reference number. This number can be assigned using a numbering convention and additional data for each of them. This number can be stored in IT 105 or similar suitable IT.

It may be necessary to create a custom infotype/s for storing the minimum data required for these employees.

In attendance data you can create text info to show the person's ref no or any other data.

Hope this helps.
Regards, JG

Subject: CATS - HR mini master for external employees

Hello All
I stumbled on this page while looking for a solution , where we need to capture time for external employees with very high volume and turnover. This captured time is later on used to invoice customers.

in sap help i found the below : "Master data maintenance for external employees"
1. You do not need to assign a personnel number to each employee.
One activity is often performed by several different persons at different times. Creating a separate HR mini-master record for each of a vendor?s employees would therefore generate a vast amount of work.
Instead, you can assign several employees, or several groups of employees, the same personnel number.

However, I am unable to figure out how exactly this is achieved in the system. How are multiple users/employees assigned to one Pernr ?
Do we need to remove time constraint on IT105 , is it possible?
Or is this completely outside of HR scope and managed in some other module like MM?
Please help
Thanks in advance
