Hello,

I'll have a stab as it's been a while since I have used ML.

The GR inventory is posted at current MAP price. The difference between GR/IR and Inventory in GR is posted to the stock diff account. Then the ML, picks up the this difference and the GR current MAP to the ML, posts the new MAP value to material master and does an update to the ML and GL via the ML settlement document type.

GR
DR Inv 4500
CR GR/IR 5000
DR Diff 500

ML
1. Posts update document to ML only based on Inventory value in GR document

2. Does adjustment to ML based on difference document (ML):

CR Diff 500
DR Inv 500

MAP is adjusted in MM and ML. Use transaction CKMB to display the ML documents

Regards

Waza

Subject: MM Automatic Posting - Price Diff and Exchange Rate Diff with Material Ledger

We're having doubts regarding to automatic posting with ML.
We have MAP and when we create a GR for a material and the MAP needs to be recalculated, the Prices Difference Account is considered in the Accounting Document just for the plants where the ML is being activated.
Could someone please explain why it works?
Another question: in each case does ML consider the exchange rate difference account in the Accounting Document?
Thank you very much!
