Don't believe so.
What you could do is review PFCG role and see if there is a way to restrict the release function "activity" for the user(s).
If the transaction cannot be directly executed, then you could try SM01.

Hi Everyone
I have scenario where the workflow in place and everything works accordingly. The PR is created by the requisitioner and it goes to a release strategy and the work item goes to approvers inbox.
If for reason, the approver approves it externally i.e. directly through ME54N t code instead of the workflow, the work item which was sent to approvers SAP inbox should get deleted automatically. Is there any standard way to up date the task and if the task is already performed externally then it should get deleted. I am looking into terminating events and a background job in SAP that updates the tasks regularly but not able to find it. Can you please guide me with this requirement.
