Hi, if the employee access sap from ESS (portal) you can add some code to lock all entries that are positioned after the entry currently captured and then unlock them.
You don't need to unlock all entries, just the ones (subtypes) that are related to the same quota.
You need to anticipate the fact that while unlocking them you might face not enough quota (due to the new absence) so a scroll back action would be necessary.

I would like to find out the best SAP practice on the situation below:
While the employee submits leave for prior periods, due to the first in first out rule, the quota has already been deducted with the later leaves, so the system responds with not enough quota for the retro leave entry. We are asking the users to remove all the leave entries dated after the retro leave entry to free up the quota. Then input the one for prior period and re enter all the ones after that. Depending on the retro leave, it could be a very cumbersome process. Will there be an efficient way to handle this situation?
