Hi in SAP if your material is non valuated then u can only use PO price to determine your material price regardless of price control. that's my thought Cheers n On Wed Mar 16th, 2011 1:18 PM PDT wayne_rochon via sap-log-mm wrote: > > >I have a question in which pertains to the use of both the Moving Average Price field and the Standard Price Field in SAP on the material master. The price control on these are set-up as "V" and there is a price in the Moving Average Price field. Subject: Enter both Moving Average Price and Standard Price on the Material Master with Price Control 'V'

I have a question in which pertains to the use of both the Moving Average Price field and the Standard Price Field in SAP on the material master. Within SAP, we have certain material in which we consider "Minor Items". These are item in which we track in SAP but do not track stock levels and is not valuated in SAP. The price control on these are set-up as "V" and there is a price in the Moving Average Price field. We have an external legacy work management system in which we use that material for estimating WBS Elements. When we purchase this material, the Moving Average Price does not change since we do not track stock levels on these items.

For the our purposes, we would like to use the Standard Price field on the material master to pass the current prices from our vendor(s) to our external legacy work management system to use for it's purposes. Is it possible that we can use this field for this purpose and not run into any valuation problems with any reports or anything within SAP?
