Apparently the system is looking for a standard cost for the material. Check
the material for the plant that issued the material (MM03) and see what is
the price control (V -moving average or S- standard price and if there is
any standard price assigned to the material (Accounting Data 1 tab).
If it is Zero you may need to maintain the same. While the revenue from the
item may be Zero the system may be still trying to calculate the cost of
goods sold for COPA.

Subject: Release Billing Documents to Accounting
I have four billing documents on the VFX3 list that are giving me an error when I try to release them to Accounting.
The error is as follows:
In Profitability Analysis, the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master
The system has found that the current plan period is not filled for the product in plant.
Has anyone seen this error before?
If so, please advise how you handled it.
Also, these billing documents are for R&D items that are no charge to the customer.
