Item category is assigned to line item
and business transaction variant 1000/0001 to some business transaction.
Please check settings in 'define document types for document splitting'
find out what business transaction variant is assigned to your document type.
Then go to define document splitting method. There you will see that item
category 4000 is mandatory.
Solution : (1) Either make it optional
(2) Assigned different business transaction variant.
