Hi...All, Inbound Transportation Lead-time : ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, For certain vendors, especially in the case of import our company is responsible for transportation (pick-up at vendor site) o This means that we require early creation of Inbound Deliveries (we can not wait for the advance shipping notification)/Dispatch Advice) and corresponding Inbound Shipment o Since transportation to the distribution centre can take more than one day, this means that we need to determine two dates: ? The Pick-up date when the vendor should have the goods ready and the transporter should get the goods = Planned Shipment Start ? The Delivery date when the goods are required to be at the DC and be available for picking (for delivery to store) = Planned Shipment End There are however gaps in standard MM with regards to this ? A standard PO only has one date Delivery Date ? A standard Inbound Delivery has no proper scheduling and also only one planned date - Delivery Date (apart from Transportation Planning Date which is when the Shipment must be created) Could you please suggest any good solution for this.
