Hi Scott,

Your Production system should always be set to full.

The Recommended backup strategy is as follows:

Weekly Full backup
Daily Differential Backup
Multiple times a Day Transaction Logs (As required)

A restore process would be Restore last Full backup -> Restore last Differential Backup -> Restore All Transactional logs since last Differential Backup.

Regards

Subject: SAP dual stack on sql server 2008 backup strategy

What is the best recommended way to backup a dual stack system in sqlserver in a local backup drive?
Did use the sql server management studio to do the full and transaction log backup.
Tried to use db13 to do the full database backup but I don't see a option to create a backup device for the the local drive. Thanks for all your help on this.
