Hi,

Use this command

sql>recover database until cancel using backup controlfile;

It will ask for path of controlfile, provide the same it will surely
recover.

I did not believe in the "corrupt datafile" option. I'm not saying that this is impossible, but is not likely.

Please refer to my previous answer to check if backup is valid:

to check if database was DOWN during backup, check alert_SID.log and match this to your backup utility time stamps.

Also, check your backup log. Are you using BRBACKUP? what tool are you using to backup?
