I agree with VidhyaDhar. A solution may be to restrict the recurring
document entry access to a select few who are instructed to never enter such
a document without proper approval beforehand.
A weaker control would be to have the people running the recurring posting
transaction only include those recurring items for which they have received
approval.

Sorry, not a nice solution on this one.

Here is the requirement:
A reference document is being created/modified - it then has to be submitted for approval. In the meanwhile, to prevent this reference document to be used for posting, the created/modified document must be either Parked or Held in some way.

The deletion mark has been looked at but, in this case how the customer will recognize that the reference document is actually under process in a WF?

Did anybody face this kind of requirement?
