[sap-log-mm] Need to let a BAdi update the volume in PO line item detail screen (by default for PO with generic/variant SAP locks the volume field in read only)

Hello,

We have a BADI that is supposed to update the volume in the PO line item detail for all variants that are under a generic material.

Is there a way to configure the PO LINE ITEM DETAIL screen so that it is possible to update the VOLUME field: MEPO1312-VOLUM ?

Or should we use a user exit ?

Screen Data:
Program Name: SAPLMEGUI
Screen number: 1312

Field Description for Batch Input:
Screen Field MEPO1312-VOLUM
Program Name SAPLMEGUI
Screen Number 0014
