Caddick, I have no clue. When I setup the instance, in the process itself it asked me if I wanted to create a new DB, or use the existing one. i used the existing one for the new instance. So I am pretty sure they are both on the same db engine, but with two different unqiue databases.

As for the db instance, I believe there is a unique db for the second sap instance i created, as it doesnt make sense to share the same one. So the new db had a unique database ID, thats how I know.

I am not able to use the db manager, I tried adding my db and it says illegal swap size. What does that mean ?
