[sap-hr] SAP Self Services Implementation Challenges for a samll Operations and Maintenance Client

Can anyone of you who worked for a small client having 100-150 employees (In my case it is Operations and Maintenance Service provider to Power Plants) implementing SAP Self Services i.e ESS / MSS, please provide your inputs on the initial phase of this project planning, challenges and guidelines to be followed across the road map.
How feasible is implementing this for such a small client and what could be a better timeframe from kick start to go live.
