[sap-hr] Probation in personnel action

Hey guys, I am new in SAP HCM system.
In my personnel action for hiring, I need to have a probation period of 3 months for the newly hired employee. How do i config it so that whenever next time I click on the personnel action for hiring the contract element in included in it.
And how i know whether this employee is on probabtion period while this employee is not on probabtion period (example: they have completed the porbabtion period or they have been working for 2 yrs) ?
