We do not assign NMFC directly in material master.
We assign Material freight grp in Material master. And this is assigned in Configuartion (under - Logistics Execution >Transportation > Basic Transportation function.

HI GUrus,

Can anybody please help me with this issue? We have to populate the NMFC number and class type in the material master somewhere so that these numbers show up on the BOL going to the customer. This is a requirements for all the shipments going to the customers within the US. For international shipments, we have commodity code anyway to use. But where in the matmas can we put these fields so that they show up on the BOL. your help is gfreatly appreeciated.
