Neal -

How then would they easily do their intercompany stuff, or their consolidation? Multiple company codes in a single client is the rule, not the exception.

Jaya -

Security has its own forum here on Toolbox - SAP-SECURITY. When you go over there to ask again, I think you might get the answer that every customer should be created with an Authorization Group (KNA1-BEGRU) value that is associated with a particular company code. Authorization for that field is checked in the master data maintenance transactions via object V_KNA1_BRG.

Dear Experts,

Our system (running for 3 years) is divided into 5 company codes.
Each company has a specific set of customer data, which is not supposed to be shared by the other companies, including the General Data.

As General Data of Customer Master is actually at the Client Level, there has been a concern raised that by using transaction XD03 and leaving Sales Org. and Company Code fields blank, the users will be able to access other companies' customer data.

Is there any way where we can limit the access for the users to be able to see the customer data of their own company ?

Thank you and appreciate all the advices.

Sincerely,

Jaya (Singapore)
