The BOM reports are just some of a number of reports (including MRP reports) which display blank texts if the material master description is not available in the login language.

SAP ECC 6.0 - Danish language version: English is the installation's original language. Danish language version has been added to installation. In most reports and screens, the original component description (English) is displayed when you are logged into the DA language version. However, in the material BOM the component descriptions are blank. The DA descriptions have not been maintained in the "Additional Data" section of the Material Master: however, in the absence of a DA description, why does the BOM show blank descriptions? If there is no Danish version in MAKT, why doesn't the screen default to the English version as it does in other screens and reports?
